and globe valves

and globe valves are two type shutoff valves commom use in life. Gate
and globe valves through summary have six main difference as follow:
1 Different structure.the structure of gate valves is more complex than globe valves,height size is more large ,From the shape gate valves is shorter and higher than globe valves, especially the rising gate valves need higher height space.
2 Different sealing.when in the open and closed, gate valves disc and seat sealing always contact and friction. So sealing easily worn-out,especially when the valves nearly closed ,disc differential pressure large before and after ,Sealing wear is even more serious;but the disc of globe valves in opening,it's seat and disc sealing,will never contact,So it's sealing have small mechanical wear, But if medium contain solids, sealing damage easily. gate valves sealing have seal ability,it's disc depend on medium pressure contact with seat sealing tightly ,reach tight not leak. sealing of globe valves ,The valves is closed to inflict force can reach the seal,In the same diameter, working pressure and the same device drivers, globe valves driving torque for 2.5-3.5 times that of the gate valves.
